Taralli pack of 3

A small bakery from Andria follows the traditional recipe to make our taralli, using our extra virgin olive oil.




Taralli are rigorously handmade. Each one of them is shaped and sealed by hand into irregular rings and they are all different. Coratina extra virgin olive oil and white wine go into the mixture, but no water. The smoke point of classic extra virgin olive oil adds a golden brown colour to the product. The dough requires a very generous amount of olive oil that boosts flavour but makes it hard to knead. In line with tradition, the rings (scaldatelli, in Italian) are cooked in a pot of boiling water, removed one by one as they float to the top, and baked in the oven until crunchy.
